The Brand

Established in 2019, Skin Joy Soap is a boutique "Sunday" soapery located less than a mile from the geographic center of beautiful Tennessee, in sweet home Murfreesboro.  Using traditional, generations-old methods, we make true soap in small batches, albeit with electric stick blenders and precise formulation calculations great-great grandmother would have made long-hand.

Our mission is to reduce plastic use in every shower, at every sink - we’re avid supporters of handcrafted sustainable goods.  We’re also quite passionate about elevating bathing experiences with luxurious bath products, specifically bar soap finely crafted of botanical oils and butters, clean fragrance, and ingredients we trust.

While our brand is constantly growing in many ways, at the heart of our golden rule soapery will always be: do no harm, healthy skin, inner joy and gratitude, and artisan soap products free of phthalates, parabens, unnatural sulfates and synthetic detergents.  Learn more about our ingredients here. 

 

 

The Maker

The chief formulator and maker here at Skin Joy Soap is Katie Bouldin, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, busy boy mom of two, and (career) building construction enthusiast.  With more than twenty years of business experience, a creative spirit. and many years of soap study, formulation and practice, Skin Joy Soap was born.  We say “we” and “our” a lot because this is a family business; the men of Skin Joy Soap are wonderful encouragers, valued helpers, and enthusiastic product testers.
